Some time ago, I received some products from Acqua Colonia. Their Lemon & Ginger range is perfect to keep the summer feeling as long as possible. I received the Eau de Cologne and Refreshing Body Spray, and I will be able to give these products to 3 of my followers as well!
I got 2 products from the 4711 Acqua Colonia Lemon & Ginger Range: the Eau de Cologne (170ml/5.7 oz.) and the Refreshing Body Spray (75ml/2.5 oz.). The Lemon & Ginger Range has a beautiful fresh looking, green & yellow packaging with some leaves on it. I really like it!
Lemon & Ginger Eau de Cologne
First off: the Lemon & Ginger Eau de Cologne. I got the 170ml/5.7 oz. bottle, which is HUGE. I really love the lemon & lime colored box with the small lemon on it. The perfume bottle is not spectacular, but looks quite chique which I like.
Alcohol, Water (aqua), Fragrance (perfume), Limonene, Citral, Linalool, Ethylhexyl, Methoxycinnamate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Geraniol, Ethylhexyl Selicylate, Citronellol, Anise Alcohol, BHT
Fragrance wise, this Lemon & Ginger scent by 4711 Acqua Colonia isn’t my absolute favorite, but that’s mostly because I prefer very warm, wintery fragrances (like Dior Hypnotic Poison or Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium). Lemon & Ginger is very fresh and smells super clean and lemony (with a little extra). For me, this would be great to use as a home fragrance. The bottle also looks very beautiful so it really is an eyecatcher whenever you put it in your house.
Refreshing Body Spray
The second product from the Lemon & Ginger range is the Refreshing Body Spray. This body spray has a simply green glass bottle with a plastic cap, and some fresh green and yellow details.
Alcohol, Water (aqua), Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance (parfum), Panthenol, Limonene, Citral, Nelumbium Speciosum Flower Extract, Linalool, Geraniol, Citronellol, Sodium Benzoate, Lactic Acid, Potassium Sorbate.
The Refreshing Body Spray contains more alcohol and less perfume than the Eau de Cologne, and is perfect to ‘refresh’ your fragrance during the day! It also contains some glycerin to make sure the product isn’t too drying (because of the alcohol that’s in there). Fragrance wise, the Body Spray smells exactly the same as the Eau de Cologne. For this one, it’s exactly the same: I’d rather use it as a home fragrance because it smells so fresh, and I prefer to wear heavy, warm fragrances on my skin.
The 4711 Acqua Colonia Lemon & Ginger is a little hard to get outside Europe, but is available at Amazon.com. The Eau de Cologne 170ml/5.7oz retails for $29.20 and I wasn’t able to find a place where to get the Refreshing Bodyspray. For my Dutch followers: check the Dutch version of this blogpost to see the exact prices and locations where to get this product.
