Urban Decay Holiday 2016 Collection

Urban Decay Holiday Collection 2016

Even though summer is not over yet, Urban Decay gives us a sneak peak into their Holiday 2016 Collection. I truly love Urban Decay and holiday collections are my absolute favorites of the entire year, so I couldn’t wait to see what they came up with! They’re launching some super cool new products for the holiday season and I’m so excited for them.

Urban Decay Holiday 2016 Collection Liquid Moondust Eyeshadow

Urban Decay Holiday 2016 Collection Liquid Moondust Eyeshadow

Liquid Moondust Eyeshadow

$22, Sephora Exclusive

I think the Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadows are one of the best products in their entire range. They’re super cool, super sparkly eyeshadows that look amazing in any eyelook! For this holiday, Urban Decay launches some cool liquid versions of their signature Moondust Eyeshadows. You can use them to create subtle eyelooks, but if you want a super intense 3D sparkle effect on your eyes, you can also layer and build the color.

  • Solstice – Pink-red with green 3D sparkle and shift
  • Vega –  Bright blue with iridescent sparkle
  • Spacetime –  Deep coppery bronze with iridescent sparkle
  • Zodiac – Smoky black with blue-green shift and blue-green 3D sparkle
  • Zap – Gold with tonal sparkle
  • Recharged – Peach with pink shift & sparkle
  • Chem Trail –  Oyster with iridescent sparkle
  • Magnetic – Purple with iridescent sparkle

$54

Urban Decay also ups their Naked game and launches a new and even better Naked Basics palette. The Naked Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette is an absolute musthave if you’re an eyeshadow lover like me and prefer to use neutrals in your eyelooks. The palette contains 12 brand new matte eyeshadow shades, and they make the perfect basic eyeshadow palette that everyone should own.

Urban Decay Holiday 2016 Collection Naked Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette Urban Decay Holiday 2016 Collection Naked Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

  • Blow – Semi-matte light nude
  • Nudie – Matte soft nude pink
  • Commando – Matte light taupe
  • Tempted – Matte light brown
  • Instinct – Matte medium pinky-taupe
  • Lethal – Matte reddish brown
  • Pre-game – Matte pale yellow
  • Extra Bitter – Matte burnt orange
  • Faith – Matte medium warm brown
  • Lockout – Matte deep neutral brown
  • Magnet – Matte smoky gray
  • Blackjack – Matte warm black

I do think the color selection could’ve been a bit more dynamic though, I feel like some of the top eyeshadows look a lot like the other ones we can find in the ‘regular’ Naked Basics and Naked 2 Basics eyeshadow palettes. I do love the plum color  (‘Lethal’) at the top right of the palette and Extra Bitter looks like an amazing color to own as well.

Although the colors aren’t that spectacular, I think it’s a great palette. The palette contains eyeshadows with cool and warm undertones, and varies from a super light beige to a quite dark brown. I think you can make some very cool looks with these, and it’ll work great if you pair it with some of the new Liquid Moondust eyeshadows as well!
